For the last three decades of my life, I have been working with the 18 Buddha Hands (Buddhist Qigong style), and that has allowed me to maintain good posture, strong muscles, and flexible tendons.
Upon arriving in the United States, I taught with much love and compassion the "18 Hands of Luohan" to help many people overcome illnesses, including the so-called "incurable" ailments.
Qigong is for adults of all ages. In my classes, I have had students up to 90 years of age who have achieved wonderful results.
In a society where the diet is not healthy at all, water consumption is limited since people consume sodas with a lot of amounts of sugar, and the lack of the spine stimulation and other joints, results in a body with bone density problems.
A Heart without Love and Joy cannot make its way to life.
We live in a society that does not talk about emotions. A heart without love and joy cannot make its way to life.
One of the most powerful exercises within the practice of the 18 Buddha Hands Qigong is the "Luohan separates the Mountains". This movement harmonizes our hearts by extending our arms as if imitating pushing two mountains. It makes us feel like we are making our way through life.
According to traditional Chinese medicine, emotions are reduced to five basic feelings that are each associated with a corresponding element and organ in the body.
Anger -liver
Fear - kidney
Anxiety-heart
Sadness-lung
concern - spleen
Understanding the interaction of each of the five pairs of organs and emotions is key to unlocking the healing potential of traditional Chinese medicine since the imbalance between them contributes to basic mental and physical health problems.
The Power of Breathing
In a Western world, it is difficult to understand that these exercises not only have physical benefits but it is very difficult for many to understand that breathing plays a very important role in the work of this beautiful legacy.
If the practitioner only focuses on the physical part, he will only achieve the benefits of physical exercise. The crucial difference between Qigong exercise and physical exercise is not only in the external appearance of our body.
It is also important to understand the internal dimensions of energy work, the mind, and breathing, which play a very important role in the practice of this Qigong.
If a person does not understand that the power of breathing changes all the cells in our body, it is unlikely that they have understood what we are working on with Qigong.
This Saturday, November 18th, I would like to invite you to a NEW and TRANSFORMATIVE workshop with the practice of the ancient 18 Buddha Hands Qigong, and the event will end with a Sound Bath Meditation with ancient instruments.

Your Body is your Temple
My Master always told me: "Your Body is your Temple".
I have been practicing the 18 Buddha Hands Qigong for the last 37 years of my life, as well as other styles of Qigong, and at 55 years old, I am still full of energy with strong muscles, flexible tendons, and straight spine. Although I continue working day by day to reach 86 like my Master who still maintains the flexibility of a bamboo and the strength of a tiger.
