About the Course
This class combines Tai Chi and Qigong, ancient Chinese practices focusing on exercises and healing techniques.
While Tai Chi and Qigong share similarities, they are distinct practices that both emphasize strength, flexibility, and breathing exercises.
Qigong, also known as qi gong or chi kung, translates to "vital energy cultivation" as "Qi" stands for vital energy and "gong" for cultivation.
Qigong is a comprehensive health system renowned for reducing stress, promoting vitality, improving medical conditions, enhancing quality of life, rejuvenating effects, potentially increasing longevity, and with centuries of practice.
It is easy to learn and enjoyable, with movements that have specific effects on the body and mind, enhancing energy flow and nourishment throughout the body.
Various forms of Qigong are practiced globally, with this class focusing on the Taoist style "Turtle Qigong" or Water Qigong, which targets joint flexibility and emotional release through deep breathing.
Additionally, the class includes instruction on Wudang Mountain Tai Chi, related to the forces of nature.
Tai Chi is a low-impact practice suitable for all ages and fitness levels, offering benefits such as stress reduction, improved mood, energy, flexibility, balance, muscle strength, and agility.
